What is suicide pod??
A portable suicide pod is going to be launched soon in Switzerland for people who are willing to die. It is expected that pod will be used after experimentation within few months on group of people. Pod helps people to die on their wish without any lethal medications.

This Sarco capsule was introduced in year 2019. It functions by replacing oxygen with nitrogen gas inside pod that leads a person to death. because of hypoxia- low amount of oxygen to vital organs.
The process will lose the consciousness of an individual and die within 10 minutes.

It will cost only $20 for using this capsule. $20 is charged only for use of Nitrogen gas.

Before using Sarco capsule, individuals have to pass the psychiatric test. According to reports, person inside capsule responds to automated questions and once button is pressed there is no going back.

A button is available inside the capsule to start the process of assisted dying. When person enters into the capsule, automated questions like what their name is, where they are, whether they are aware of process, etc will be asked. Finally automated voice says,“If you want to die, press the button.”

Philip Nitschke, who is the inventor of the Sarco, said, that when button is pressed the oxygen level will reduce from 21% to 0.05% within 30 seconds. Thus, decrease in oxygen causes disorientation, loss of consciousness, euphoria following death.

“They will then stay in that state of unconsciousness for…around about five minutes before death will take place,” he said. He also said,”Once you pressed that button, there’s no way of going back.”

No details have been shared about the first user of this capsule. Even exact timing and location of use of this capsule is not disclosed. This process will take place on private property to take away media attention. “This is because we really don’t want a person’s desire for peaceful passsing Switzerland to turn into a media circus”, said Fiona Stewart lawyer of the organisation.
