Nepal Plane Crash at Tribhuvan International Airport: 18 killed, pilot survived alone

A plane crash took place in Kathmandu, Nepal, at Tribhuvan International Airport. A plane carrying passengers crashed while take off from Tribhuvan International Airport resulting into a massive fire. 19 passenger were on board. Till now 18 people have been died and bodies have been recovered.

 According to reports, pilot has been survived and is taking treatment at Kathmandu Medical College Hospital . This incident took place on 24 July, when plane slipped off from runways while take off.

The Saurya Airline plane was heading from Kathmandu to Pokhara.

 

The video is being surfaced all over the internet about the plane crash that took place in Nepal.

Officials told that plane was carrying 2 crew members along with 17 technicians to Pokhara city, for repairing another aircraft.

“Only the pilot has been rescued and is alive, taking treatment at a hospital,” said Tej Bahadur Poudyal, the representative of Tribhuvan International Airport.

As soon as plane crashed, emergency services were arrived at the airport. The bodies that were recovered were taken immediately to the hospital by the ambulance services.

The rescue team is been seen trying to recover every person from the crash. The fire fighters were seen bringing fire in control as showed on television screen .

There are several reasons behind many plane crashes in Nepal is due to improper maintenance and aircraft training. There is lack of infrastructure in Nepal for maintenance of Airports and aircrafts. Even the training to the staff is not adequate.

The weather conditions in Nepal is also not adequate because of hilly terrain regions. The weather is unpredictable and it makes difficult for the pilot to take safely the plane into the sky.

Weather agencies said that there was low visibility in area. However, there was no rain at the time of plane crash.

The airport is now temporarily closed, said officials.
