A soldier was killed in attack at Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara. During an anti terrorist operation in Jammu and Kashmir that was held by Indian Army, on Wednesday, a soldier was killed in gunfight.
The soldier was injured seriously and died of injuries later. However, the terrorist was also brought down during encounter, says army. Within 24 hours, this is the second encounter in Kashmir. A soldier was killed in encounter in Pooch district near LOC, on tuesday.

Thus, Army has started search operation in nearby areas with Jammu and Kashmir police after information received regarding the presence of terrorists in area of Kupwara’s Kowut.
“On July 24, suspicious movement was observed and challenged by vigilant troops, in response to which terrorists opened fire. In this firing, one terrorist has been taken down and a soldier from army has been died. The soldier is NCO-Non Commissioner Officer. The operation is in progress,” said army chief.
The body of soldier Lance Naik Subash Kumar, has been handed over to the Army.
A search operation has been launched for taking down terrorists who have been hiding in the region, said officials.
